Have to say, food for thought… Words for action….

Between the Nutrition 101 seminar I did last year with Josh and Abbey’s words of wisdom, the relatively ‘healthy’ lifestyle that I thought I had has been turned up side down for the better.

Almost six months without a microwave in my home and I dont miss it at all. It’s so nice to know the healthy meals I cook aren’t being turned into the equivalent of nutritional cardboard anymore, and also knowing that carbing myself up to keep weight on is no good if I live on greens and keep fats out of my diet.

I’m feeling my mojo come back and have just had the best two night sleep I’ve had in a long time.

Thanks heaps guys, especially to the awesome Abbey for her constant support and belief in my ability to succeed!

My names is Nicole and I would like to share my success that I truly could not have achieved without the guidance, motivation and esteem building provided by Josh. As I embark on my career in the NAVY I will always be grateful to Josh providing me with the skills that I needed to get me over the line. The dreaded beep test was the final fitness hurdle I needed to get over to secure an enlistment date. After a year of group training sessions which certainly improved my overall fitness the dreaded beep test eluded me on several occasions, which started to affect my self esteem and motivation to succeed. Fortunately a friend of mine put me in touch with Josh who not only helped me with technique but also changed the way I was now thinking. The result was both positive and immediate and after only 4 sessions I had finally achieved what a years worth of group training simply could not. Now I have passed the beep test with ease and my enlistment date confirmed.

I had the Mitise Health and Fitness business card in my gym bag for months, and thought I would check out the website which led to me calling Josh. My initial appointment with Josh was far better than any I had been to previously – he actually listened to ALL of my goals. After listening and taking all I had to say on board, Josh asked me some questions, took me through his assessment (flexibility, postural alignment and dynamic movement analysis) and then we booked my first training session. It is only now that I realise that Josh wasn’t just training me physically to complete the ride he was training me mentally and this was going to be the key to me riding 210kms and sometimes riding it alone.

I had been to nutrition seminars in the past and have left half way through as the content was too basic. I was glad Josh convinced me to attend his seminar Nutrition 101 in November 2010 as the content wasn’t basic but simple to understand so anyone on any level would benefit. The seminar covered a lot on the dangers of sugar and reasons why sugar is dangerous. I found this area the most beneficial and have now be able to relay this information on to my clients daily.
